Not to be outdone, our skilled masons manipulate the raw form of earth's hardest materials into beautiful paver walkways, retaining walls, water features, rock gardens or otherwise! Made from some of the most durable building materials, if well maintained and properly installed, these hardscape features will last a lifetime. 

When constructing a paver walkway, you can choose simple Jack-on-Jack or running bond designs. More complicated patterns such as herring bone or pinwheel designs require more cutting, however look great and are sure to impress.

The first step will be to remove approximately 6" of grass and earth where the pathway will eventually sit. Next, we recommend tamping the earth and installing a weed barrier to promote longevity in your walkway. We then lay either 6" of paver gravel and 1" of sand, or simply a light layer of sand and interlocking paver base panels. Prior to laying the bricks, this is a great time to lay any wiring for any outdoor landscape lighting you wish to install.

Once the bricks are laid with an approximate 1/4" gap between them in the desired pattern, polymeric sand that promotes bonding is applied to the top of the bricks and swept between the cracks. They are then tamped, and this process is repeated as needed. Excess sand is then blown away with a leaf blower to prevent hazing, then the pathway is lightly soaked with a hose, the excess weed barrier is cut away, and the pathway is then adorned with mulch, soil, plants of your choice, and walkway lighting as desired.
